It is hard to believe it's already October and we're heading into our third month here! Lots of my favorite blog include monthly goals for tracking. I will do this too to keep myself accountable on a few things each month :
Finish Setting Up Our House
While we have made a lot of progress unpacking (no boxes!!!) We still have some final set-up to do in terms of hanging photos and re-organizing a few items. By the end of the month - I want to commit to having all of our pictures hung up and want to be fully settled into our new abode.
Go to the Gym Three Times a Week
With my new work schedule, I have lots of time to myself in the mornings. This - combined with the delicious, but heavy British fall food (think: meat pies, root veggies, and stews) - create the need to go to the gym. I want to go several times a week before work to make sure I can still fit into my work clothes for my trip back home next month.
Take An Adventure Every Weekend
Very soon, the weather will cool and the days will be very short (anticipated 4 pm sunsets!!!). I want to make the most of these last long days and enjoy a few autumnal adventures before we have to hibernate for the winter. In an ideal world, we'll be able to take our bikes out for a final spin too!
Get Back to School
I am starting a new online certificate program in Marketing Management through Cornell University. The topics look very interesting and my course work will kick off October 14 and run through the spring. Looking forward to re-balancing my time to prioritize professional development while I am here.
Order Christmas Cards
We are lucky to have pretty good mail here through the military's APO mail service - but things still take longer than they do in the US to move. I want to make sure our Christmas Cards are in final design and ordered before the end of the month so we can make sure to have them in the mail in time for the holidays.
...because nothing says childless yuppies... like personalized Christmas Cards!
