Pride and Prejudice Live: Chatsworth

When my lovely friend Christine visited, her #1 priority (besides seeing me!) was visiting Chatsworth House.  Famous as the film spot for Pride + Prejudice...and a special location for Downton Abby, it lived up to every expectation.  The gardens were designed by famed British landscape architect Capability Brown and were so perfectly lush.  The house was filled with a fashion exhibit and the tea was exquisite.  More on the tea...it is a partnership with Wedgewood and is served on all Wedgewood china, so in addition to being delicious, it was also stunning.

If you're local, you must visit - this was one of my most favorite local adventures!  Well worth the drive (a little under 2 hours):

Cloudy, but not rainy at the house:

The gardens were so lush and perfectly designed...I think they are my most favorites I have visited (except Tulips in Netherlands):

The maze:

Stunning colors:

Lush and green...

Tree-lined lanes:

Inside the house was a fashion exhibit including robes worn to the Queen's coronation:

The rest of the house was also beautifully maintained:

Wedgewood Tea...Squee!

Decadence:
